Uh oh, here we go again.
The MTA, in its eternal state of broke-ness, is set to unveil its new budget today, and there are tons of doozys in it.
Some of the gems include raising the price of a single-ride metrocard to $2.50, and reducing the bonus that comes from buying a single ride card from 15% to 10% – no more ten rides for the price of nine.
Also, the MTA is eyeing capping the monthly unlimited ride metrocard at 90 rides, which would force super travelers to buy multiple metrocards. There’s also talk of capping the weekly card at 21 rides.
