We know you haven’t done your taxes yet. We’re not here to judge you, maybe you misplaced your W2, maybe you’re a putting it off because you’re a freelancer and it’s just a world of pain. Whatever the reason, you don’t have much time left to procrastinate. Taxes are due April 17, that’s next Tuesday, so it’s time for you to suck it up and get them done. Now if you’re not afraid of numbers you can always use TaxSlayer.com to file your taxes online for free, but what if you want someone to hold your hand and guide you through the process? Well, there are places you can go that will do that for free as well.

Ever year the IRS sets up volunteer income tax assistance centers (VITAs) all over the state. If you make under $50,000 a year, you can walk right in and they’ll do your taxes for free. And since they’re run by the IRS there are VITA centers in four of the five boroughs (sorry Staten Islanders, you draw the short straw). Want to find your closest location? Here’s a map:
